Cafe Ele's Alte Werft in Toenning

The café / snack bar is beautifully located at the end of the historic harbor in an old shipyard. Outside you have a great view of the harbor. Currywurst with fries (homemade?) Was very tasty, portion good and the prices are reasonable. Coffee and cake are also on offer. I would love to come back if I am around.

We went there twice during our stay. The ambience is great, the service is great! All in all we were very satisfied. Also to be highlighted are the fried fish rolls! These were the best I've ever eaten!

Very quaint ambience, friendly staff. Unfortunately we could not reserve in October, despite sufficient space and offered deposit. We were a group of 12 people including one with Rollator. Would have been happy about a reservation.

Somebody had the right idea at the right time. And he did it very well! The only downside: there was only ice cream from Ben & Jerrys, and nobody in my family likes that. Therefor delicious cake!

We went there for the first time today and we have to say: just great. The crab meatball was delicious. The fried fish roll too. Special location with a special ambience, as it is an old shipyard and some of it is still there. And you have a wonderful view of the harbor. They also have homemade cakes.

Wonderful what has been made of the former shipyard. 👍🏻 A wonderful little restaurant / café has emerged. The menu is extensive in terms of food and drink. Meals are freshly prepared in the "galley", which you can then enjoy outside in front of the "shipyard" with a view of the old town and the port of Tönning. Hence ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and full recommendation.

A real "insider tip" - on the way back from SPO you should definitely stop here, have a small dinner and have a drink and enjoy the beautiful view of the canal, then head home in peace.

Quaint and cozy with a beautiful view. I think self-service is basically okay. We were only there for a coffee that comes from the Bosch fully automatic machine and that is more likely to be accepted, not a pleasure, too bad 😃 The food at the neighboring tables looked good and will be tasted next time.

Great atmosphere. Very nice staff, great location, cozy inside and outside. Flens from the barrel! You don't really have to say anymore .. 🍺😃 Treated myself to a fried fish roll and was amazed that it took a moment. The reason: It was freshly prepared! A thousand times more delicious than at Gosch! Conclusion: If you don't stop here, you're missing out!

Cozy snack bar with a great location at the port of Tönning. The snack bar is very centrally located in Tönning. There are seats in the old shipyard (wooden hall) or in front of it in a stand basket (if the weather is right). The staff was friendly, the prices are ok. The menu offers a lot of food / drinks. We were surprised to find this nice place in the old shipyard. Super friendly service, really delicious cake (recommended!). Also the baked fish roll, really delicious. Since the bun took a little longer, it was somehow lost, so I was immediately given a drink to make amends. Nice gesture 👍😊 A visit is definitely worth it!

Very nice cafe / restaurant. Nice ambience. We spent the waiting time until the departure of our excursion boat here. Unfortunately it took a little over half an hour to get the food we ordered (currywurst and saithe fillet). As a result, we had to hurry up a bit with the food. But the taste was great! Really delicious :) We would definitely come back when we are close again.

Eles "Alte Werft" in Tönning is at the start. During our visit, the weather was bad outside. It didn't matter, because we were sitting in the grandiose hall. Unique atmosphere in a historic location with a fantastic view of the Tönningen harbor! The fish rolls were great, the beer was at the right temperature and was taped well. Homemade pies and cakes were also available - they all looked delicious and we will definitely try them next time.
